Every 10 Years, the World Changes and Some Businesses Disappear

The world is always changing.

Every 10 years, something shifts. New technology appears. New habits form. And slowly, some traditional businesses begin to disappear.

This is not something new. It has been happening for a long time.

Years ago, shopping malls were full of people. Families spent weekends walking, shopping, and eating together. Stores were busy. Business was strong. It felt like this would last forever.

But today, many shopping malls are quieter or even closed.

Why?

Because people changed their behavior. Online shopping became faster, cheaper, and more convenient. With just a phone, people can buy almost anything without leaving their home.

The business did not fail overnight. It slowly became less relevant.

Another example is Kodak.

Kodak was once one of the most powerful companies in the world. Their cameras were everywhere. People used film to capture memories. It was a normal part of life.

But then technology changed.

Smartphones started to include cameras. People no longer needed separate devices. Everything became digital. Photos could be taken, edited, and shared instantly.

Kodak could not adapt fast enough.

A company that once dominated the industry became a lesson for the world.

This pattern repeats again and again.

Taxi companies faced challenges when ride sharing apps appeared. Physical bookstores struggled when digital platforms grew. Many traditional industries are slowly being replaced or transformed.

Now, we are living in the era of online business.

More people are working from home. More people are building digital products, services, and content. The internet has created new opportunities that did not exist before.

But here is something important to understand.

Nothing lasts forever.

Just like traditional businesses changed, online business will also evolve. New platforms will appear. New technologies will replace old ones. What works today may not work tomorrow.

That is why depending on one system can be risky.

If you rely only on a traditional job and that industry declines, you may suddenly face uncertainty. If a company closes or reduces staff, you may struggle to find stability again.

This is why it is important to stay aware and adaptable.

Learning new skills, understanding trends, and being open to change can protect your future. Instead of waiting for change to happen, you can prepare for it.

The goal is not to fear the future.

The goal is to be ready for it.

Every 10 years, the world will continue to change. Some industries will grow. Some will disappear. The people who succeed are not those who resist change, but those who learn how to move with it.

Because in a changing world, adaptability is the real security.
