A Relaxing Road Trip From Klang to Penang

I traveled from Klang, Selangor to Penang by car. The journey took around four hours and thirty minutes. The drive felt long but comfortable, with changing views along the highway. When I finally reached Penang, I felt excited and relaxed at the same time.
I stayed in Penang for three days and two nights. It was a simple trip, but it gave me space to enjoy life slowly.
Stopping at Penang Bridge
One of the first places I stopped was Penang Bridge. I parked the car and stepped out to walk closer to the fence of the bridge. Standing there, I looked down toward the sea and felt the wind on my face.
The view was wide and calming. I took photos and enjoyed the moment without rushing. It felt good to pause and appreciate where I was.
Seafood Lunch at Teluk Kumbar

After the bridge, I drove to the famous Hao You Teluk Kumbar Seafood restaurant. The restaurant is located by the beach, which made the experience more special.

For lunch, I ordered fish sour dish, lala soup, chicken satay, and vegetables. The food tasted fresh and satisfying. After finishing the meal, I walked down to the beach and placed my feet in the sea water.
Later, I sat on a wooden swing while looking boats on sea.
The boats moving slowly on the sea. The sound of waves and the sea breeze made the moment peaceful.

Next, I drove to Jalan Balik Pulau and parked my car nearby. The location was Jalan Pasar, Pekan Ayer Itam, 11500 Ayer Itam, Pulau Pinang.

I walked to try the famous laksa noodle there. The taste was rich and memorable, showing why Penang food is so loved.

After that, I visited Kek Lok Si Temple. Walking through the temple area required climbing an ascending sheltered walkway. Along the path, there were many small souvenir shops and stalls selling local items.
The walkway felt like a covered maze and was quite busy.
As I continued upward, I reached the Turtle Pond area filled with hundreds of turtles at Kek Lok Si Temple.
From there, the path led toward the upper temple area, where the Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas and the Guan Yin statue stand peacefully.
At the Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas, there are twelve different animal statues representing the zodiac animals. Each statue stands proudly along the area, attracting many visitors. I stood beside the rat statue and took a photo there. It was a fun and memorable moment during the temple visit, adding a personal touch to the cultural experience.
Street Art at Chew Jetty
Later, I walked back down to my car and drove to Chew Jetty. I visited the Street Art Folklore by the Sea mural at The Chew Jetty Kongsi Penang.
Walking around the jetty felt lively and creative. I took photos of the murals enjoyably...
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the wooden walkways and sea nearby while raining started...
Saying Goodbye to Penang
I love Penang because of its food and natural places. Every stop during this trip gave me something to enjoy and remember.
After three days and two nights, it was time to return to my hometown. I said goodbye to Penang with a grateful heart and many beautiful memories.
Bye Penang.
